ABOUT TOUCH 3 VOLLEYBALL

The Vision

Smitha Kumar founded Touch 3 Volleyball in 2012 with a singular mission: to make the game of volleyball accessible, enjoyable, and technically sound for players of all ages. Built on the founding principle of maintaining elite fundamental skills at an affordable cost, Touch 3 has grown from a local initiative into a premier Bay Area institution primarily through word-of-mouth and community trust.

A Proven Track Record

The Touch 3 program is designed to build the confidence required to compete at any level. The results speak for themselves: 90% of our participants successfully make their School and Club teams every year. Whether during the off-season or year-round, athletes from middle school through high school rely on Touch 3 to keep their fundamentals sharp and their court time consistent

Professional Pedigree

Smitha brings over four decades of elite competitive experience to the court. Her journey began at the Varsity and National levels in India before she became a fixture in the San Francisco Bay Area volleyball scene in 2000.

A decorated veteran of the sport, Smitha has represented California senior teams for nearly two decades. Her international resume includes over 15 years at the Huntsman World Senior Games, as well as competing in the World Masters in New Zealand and Taiwan. Most recently, she was a member of the Gold Medal-winning team at the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa.

Smitha is proud to launch the first-ever Masters League in Silicon Valley (Ages 45+) on August 15th & 16th, 2026
